Sneaky on nighter

Driving weekend

Good evening!
It has been a couple of weeks since we had a trip of any sort.
Today was a driving day... we didn't know where we were heading so we went west!
We stopped at Atkinson dam .... it is pretty much empty even after all the rain we had.
Driving to Gatton was wonderful to everything so green after the rain.
Around Gatton we headed out west one dirt road after another! Seeing heaps of cattle and farms and all the creek crossing had been high with many having water still flowing over them.
The water is so clear in many of the creeks, and flowing! One creek we stopped at had rocks full of crystals! It was like fossicking and I could have searched and broken them open for hours! Kind of reminded me of the 'thunderbird eggs'
We must have done a bit of a loop because we ended up between Warwick and Toowoomba.
The decision was made to go to Toowoomba Showgrounds for the night! As usual, Peter the Showground manager was welcoming and let us take our pic of spots to layout the swag!
We can't wait to bring the kids and dogs here 🙂
Dinner was awesome, in a little Japanese restaurant in Toowoomba City! ⛩
A nice end to an awesome day!
Now to turn down the swag and get comfy ⛺️
